Stayed in the Island section. Grounds were well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Well stocked camp store. Restrooms were clean. I would recommend this campground.

Stayed overnight on the way from the Black Hills. Bathrooms were the cleanest that I have seen in a long time. Grounds were well maintained. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We will make this a stop over every trip to the hills.

Very large State Park. Campsites are large enough for big rigs. D loop is the electric loop. Wildlife abundant. Paved walking / bike trail runs through the park. Very nice campground.

Large State Park. Electric loop gets crowded in the summer. Non electric loops have large campsites. Shower buildings are clean. Lots of bear activity the past few years. Playground for kids.

Nice park with water and dump station available. 30 amp is available in some sites. Plenty of room between the campsites. Lots of shade trees in the park.

Madison is a very good location for viewing the park. Reservations required. Know the overall length of your trailer and truck. This campground can accomodate larger rigs, but be sure to call ahead. No electric or showers available. Flush toilets on site. 3 stall dump station on site. Ice and firewood available. Park rules enforced. Bison viewing is great. Campground allows generators.

Very nice state park. Electric sites are the closest to the lake. More room in the non electric sites. Water and dump station available in campground. Lots of Ranger led programs for kids. Small camp store located in the park. This can be a very busy place on summer weekends.

Very nice state park with lake access. Campground has some electric sites. Non electric sites seem a bit larger. Good space in between sites. Park offers boat rentals with electric motors. Good fishing lake. Dump station and water are available. Enough room for truck and 26 foot trailer.

Rafter J is a very nice park. We camped on the Island section. The restroom and shower house were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was heated and clean. The camp store is well stocked and clean. Lots of space between campsites. Quiet hours were respected. Campground located in the center of the Black Hills. Well worth the money spent.
